Character of Position

As a Controls Engineer, you will be on a determined team that is delivering state of the art solutions in support of the industry's most critical applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in programming automation and controls systems involving PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers)
  • Create and read logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming, simulation, testing, and start up
  • Maintain and update PLC programs as required
  • Test ability of machines such as robots or servo-controlled equipment to perform tasks
  • Conducts product validation tests
  • Performs product conformance testing
  • Participate in the development of equipment manuals
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with our customers. Maintain a cadence of communication and interaction with customers
  • Coordinate with other Visioneering personnel who interact with the customer to ensure an optimum approach
  • Installation and start up at customers facility
  • Interpret policies and requirements in terms of established objectives. Provide recommendations for improvements in order to meet program objectives
  • Assist with training or startups (Travel may be required)
  • Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Basic Electrical Safety
  • PLC programming, testing, and troubleshooting using Siemens TIA Portal software
  • Advance knowledge of reading schematics and controls designs
  • Technical curiosity and passion
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be a team player and work well with others
  • Ability to plan and carry out assignments and resolve most conflicts
  • Work with others to detect problems and implement solution problems and implement solutions
  • Ability to read, write, and design machine's electrical hardware, hydraulic and pneumatic systems using AutoCAD

Experience

  • CAD, CAM, and Process Simulation Programs
  • TIA Portal Software
  • PLC's, HMI, Robot, Pneumatics, and Vision Systems
  • Robot programming is a plus
  • Read, write, and design machine's electrical hardware, hydraulic and pneumatic systems using AutoCAD

Education

  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
